This model is affectionately known as the “Pre-Moon as the date of manufacture and model preceded our trip to the moon. Omega produced the Speedmaster Ref. 145.012 from 1967 to very early 1969. Omega Speedmaster was selected by NASA for the U.S. space program in 1965. Michael Collins was 1 of the 3 astronauts (along with Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin) of the Apollo 11 mission that landed the 1st humans on the Moon in 1969 The large 42mm case is a modern size with aesthetics that are timeless to say the least.
